LIVING FOR JESUS - Daily Prayer

JESUS, praise be to the Son that was Obedient to the Father’s Will, who gave so unselfishly of Himself that others could have fellowship with the Father God in heaven. Lord, we live our day-to-day lives thinking only about ourselves and miss the blessing of Sacrificial Living that You demonstrated when You walked on this earth in the flesh and was tempted as we are tempted, yet You were without sin — does sin come from self? Lord Jesus, forgive me when I get caught up in “how I feel” and miss the blessing that comes from caring about my fellow man like You did. Lord, we cannot perform miracles on our own but I am confident that we can have “compassion” for others and that the Father will work in their lives and bless us as well.   AMEN

THE JESUS QUESTIONS

Jesus always Teaches so much more than just what is on the surface and this Lesson that He is Teaching which begins “Now learn this parable from the fig tree:” (Matthew 24:32) has much meaning if we put forth the effort to do as Jesus instructs us to do and “learn” the meaning of the “parable” and the “fig tree”. The other thing that Jesus does with His Lesson is to take the obvious which we see on a daily basis and give great “spiritual” meaning to it and since Jesus uses that which is familiar to us in our daily world that we will be able to “learn” His intended Lesson — the Lesson also being the answer to His Question.  Jesus asks each Question to get us thinking about another “Truth of God” and with each Lesson Jesus reveals the Father in heaven to us which Teaches us that GOD IS TRUTH. The Fig Tree that was “cursed” in Matthew 21 is actually a commentary on the state of the Jewish church in Jerusalem. Jesus had returned the temple to a “house of prayer” and the chief priests and elders in the church began to attack Jesus because they felt that all authority was theirs by “tradition” and were very confrontational with Jesus, so much so that Jesus left Jerusalem that night and went and stayed in Bethany. The next morning Jesus returned to the city and the Scriptures note that Jesus was “hungry” which meant He was looking for the church in Jerusalem to provide “spiritual” food for the nation. When Jesus came upon the fig tree and found that it only had leaves, Jesus knew that the church was barren for the Fig Tree actually puts forth fruit buds BEFORE the leaves appear — also the late figs often winter-over and ripen the following spring so knowing about the Fig Tree one can understand why when Jesus looked at the Fig Tree as symbolic of the church in Jerusalem and found that there was no fruit from last year nor was there any fruit buds for the upcoming year that Jesus made the statement on the church in Jerusalem with His “cursing” the tree and making it wither that God has passed Judgement on the church in Jerusalem because the church showed no signs of fruit, none from the “fall fruit” that ripens the following spring nor any small buds indicating that the tree would not produce any “summer fruit”.  The statement that Jesus made after the parable of the vineyard makes much more sense once we “learn” about the “fig tree”: “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.” (Matthew 21:43) So we can “learn” from the “fig tree” that God expects “kingdom fruit” and if there is no “fruit” then God will move the tree somewhere that it will bear fruit. Now with this second lesson using the Fig Tree we can ascertain that since Jesus is giving “signs” of the end time that Jesus is telling us via this parable of the Fig Tree what the state of the nation of Israel will be “at the end of the age” because Jesus says “So you also, when you see all these things (the tender branches and its putting forth leaves), you will know that “summer is near” and when you see the nation Israel putting forth leaves and its national branches are tender, that the “end of the age” is “near—at the doors.” (Matthew 24:32-33) Therefore if we are looking for "signs" of the “end of the age” and Jesus returning to earth, we should “learn the parable of the fig tree” and know that it is representative of the nation Israel and by watching Israel we will know that God has promised to “restore” Israel in the Promised Land and God has a Plan which includes the “end of the age” and Jesus “coming again” — and Jesus has given us a list of signs so that those that have “[learned] the parable of the fig tree” will know as Jesus stated “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” (Matthew 24:35) My prayer for America and the world is that we will “learn the parable of the fig tree” and we will produce “kingdom fruit” for the ONE that spoke Creation into existence and whose WORD will remain after Creation has “passed away.”

LIVING FOR JESUS - Daily Prayer

JESUS, each day is a blessing that is bestowed on us by Your Grace and Mercy.  Lord Jesus, as I call upon Your Holy Name I pray that I will call upon You for the right reason and do not let me get caught up in rituals or doing things so that I can have “spiritual” notches on my belt of self-righteousness, for I know there is no such thing as “self”-righteousness, indeed there is only one true righteousness and that comes through the blood of the Lamb of God that was slain that all men could receive forgiveness of sins and only through that Grace can we be clothed in the clean and Holy robes of the righteousness bestowed on all who believe that God sent His Son to be the propitiation of our sin. Lord forgive me of my daily shortcomings and keep me fully in Your LIGHT!!!       AMEN

THE JESUS QUESTIONS

Jesus Masterfully weaves all His Lessons together so that there is One Truth to be learned as Jesus takes one Lesson and builds on it with another so that our understanding of God and God’s Plan is made clearer to us. Jesus is in the process of telling His disciples when the “end of the age” will be and has confirmed that at the “end of the age” that He will Return as “Master of the Household”. Jesus had used prophecy from Daniel who had written 600 years earlier to introduce in His “List of Signs of the End of the Age” the “Great Tribulation” which Daniel had prophesied would happen in the “Seventieth Week” and would be identified by someone standing in the place of God. This usurper would offer “abominations” instead of daily sacrifices which would completely “desolate” the Holy Temple. Jesus called this event the “Abomination of Desolation” and then said His Return would happen very shortly. Jesus is now giving additional details to His disciples so that all believers could be prepared for His Return at the End of the Age. Jesus had stated plainly what the signs would be but being the Master Teacher He adds to our “understanding” by the use of parables. Jesus had just announced that God would send His angels to gather His “elect” (Matthew 24:31) and then Jesus says, “Now learn this parable from the fig tree; When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.” (Matthew 24:32) Remember that this is His Last Week on earth in the flesh and that He began the week riding into Jerusalem on the colt of a donkey as the Son of David and as soon as He made His Triumphal Entry Jesus went straight to the temple in Jerusalem and “drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple” (Matthew 21:12) which started a series of Lessons on returning the temple to God’s original intent. Jesus, by His Own Example demonstrated God’s original intent for the temple by returning the temple to a “house of prayer” and then Jesus “healed” everyone that “came to Him in the temple.” (Matthew 21:14). Jesus then spent several days addressing the problem of “hypocrisy” among the leaders and rulers of the nation Israel that had chosen to “follow the traditions and doctrines of men” instead of the Commands of God! Jesus had left the city that first day and on His return the next morning Jesus cursed a fig tree and “immediately the fig tree withered away” and the disciples “marveled” at the power Jesus demonstrated. (Matthew 21:18-20) This was not the first time in His final week that the symbolism of the fig tree was used — Jesus had sent His disciples into Bethphage when they had drawn near to Jerusalem and the meaning of “Bethphage” is “house of unripe figs”. The nation of Israel is symbolized by the fig tree so that everything Jesus did in association with the fig tree can easily be understood as a message to the entire nation of Israel specifically and God’s chosen people (His “elect”) in general, so when Jesus says, “Now learn this parable from the fig tree…” (Matthew 24:32) that we should look more closely at what Truth of God Jesus is Teaching us!!! Jesus described the fig tree as “When its branch has already become tender…” Jesus continues, “and puts  forth leaves…” Jesus explains, “…you know that summer is near.” (Matthew 24:32) Jesus refers back to His last Question: “Do you not see all these things?” (Matthew 24:2) which Jesus uses to begin His List of Signs of the End of the Age and to ask His disciples in effect, Do you not “understand” what “all these things” mean when Jesus adds to His explanation of the parable of the fig tree, “So you also, when you see all these things, know that [“the end of the age”] is near—at the doors!” (Matthew 24:33) Therefore since Jesus is giving us a sign, we would be wise to “understand” more clearly what He means when He says, “…know that it is near…”. The parable of the fig tree is important enough that we should look closely at the parable so that indeed we can “see all these things” and know what “is near” when the “fig tree” has “tender” branches and “puts forth leaves”!!!! Or do you think that Jesus is just not serious about the “end of the age”?

OCTOBER 15  THE JESUS QUESTIONS  JQ#30 “Do you not see all these things?”  (Matthew 24:02)

LIVING FOR JESUS - Daily Prayer

JESUS, Redeemer of my soul, Lord to think that God has bestowed eternity on every soul that He creates through His Miracle of Life and then He endows each soul with True Freedom of Choice is almost more than our finite intellect can absorb — for why would such an All-powerful, All-knowing Supreme Being put such awesome power in the hands of such weak creatures? Lord, help us to understand that it is our weakness that is a blessing, but only if we recognize both the power that we have in these two miracles of God, Life and Free Will, and the responsibility to use both for the Glory of God the Creator and not to succumb to our weakness and live only for ourselves! Lord Jesus, You came and took on flesh that we might have an “example" of how to live our lives seeking the Father’s Will and let His Power work through our weakness, for only the Creator of Life can guide us in how best to “live” and how to make “good choices”  with our God-given powers of “life and free will”!!! Help us Lord to see that it is our attitude towards others that affect our eternity for You have declared that our eternity is based entirely on the choices we make in “how” we treat others that will determine “how” we ourselves will be treated by God!!!   AMEN

THE JESUS QUESTIONS

Jesus has addressed the “Great Tribulation” (Matthew 24:21) which is marked by the “Abomination of Desolation” (Matthew 24:13) that the prophet Daniel had written about in 600 B.C. and then Jesus confirms that He will return unexpectedly and quickly when He said; “For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” (Matthew 24:27) One can assume that the “Son of Man” will return when the earth is in turmoil for Jesus had said earlier, “…you will hear of wars…nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom…they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you…” (Matthew 24:6-9) and then as soon as Jesus declares the “coming of the Son of Man” He adds, “For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together” which paints a grisly picture of earth when it is at war, nation against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, which could explain why Jesus had earlier made the statement about the “Great Tribulation” — “And unless those days were shortened no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.” (Matthew 24:22) These statements are prophetic and encouraging for the “elect” (of God) for although the “Great Tribulation” will cause much death throughout the world, God will be protecting His "elect”!!! Jesus then reveals a time frame for this “lightning” strike that comes with the “Coming of the Son of Man” as Jesus concludes His “Signs” with: “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven , and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” (Matthew 24:29-30) Therefore Jesus began with a question: “Do you not see all these things?” (Matthew 24:2) and then proceeded with a list of observable “signs” that will mark His “coming”, and the “end of the age”. Therefore we should be looking for His Return and understand that He will Return to save the “elect of God” which will be consistent with the Work God has Given the Son — Jesus said that His first coming was to bring Salvation to God’s people that Returned to Him and His Second Coming will be to bring Salvation to God’s “elect” that have indeed had their spiritual eyes opened and their heart softened so that they could receive the Gift of Grace! Jesus finished His List of Signs with a “Promise” to add to His assurance that “…he who endures to the end shall be saved” (Matthew 24:13) with this: “And [God] will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matthew 24:31) As always, Jesus asks us a Question then gives us the answer and then He always checks to make sure that we “understand” and that we can “see all these things” that God has revealed to His “elect” — all we have to do is open our eyes and observe the Glory of God!!!  It is interesting to note that the term “elect” means “chosen” which gives additional weight to God’s Law of Choice and Consequence and our God-given gift of Free Will — The “Consequence” of “Choosing God” over man is that we are the “elect” because God “chooses” us because we “chose” Him!!!!! Can you not see that “belief” is a “choice” and we must use our God-given “choice” wisely, our “Eternity” depends on our “Choice”!!!!!!!!!

OCTOBER 14  THE JESUS QUESTIONS  JQ#30 “Do you not see all these things?”  (Matthew 24:02)

LIVING FOR JESUS - Daily Prayer

JESUS, O Holy Spirit, let my lips ever praise Thee but more important let my life be lived “in Christ and Christ in me” each and every day! Lord grant it that my heart be forever grateful that Your Grace restores us to the Father and Your Forgiveness frees us from our slavery to sin and the world! Lord may each day continue to begin with writing the Precious Name “JESUS” but if I write it or not, may my heart, mind, and body worship You and witness to Your Glory for it is more important for the kingdom’s sake that Jesus Himself is written on the “Way” that I live my day-to-day life! Lord, may my heart never forget the moving of the Holy Spirit in my life nor the Eternal Truth that He is ALWAYS there to comfort, correct and to guide us if we but call on Him with a humble and contrite spirit.   AMEN

OCTOBER 14  THE JESUS QUESTIONS

Jesus has a point in first asking “Do you not see…” and then making a list of “…all these things?” and as usual that “Divine point” is to convey a Truth of God and reveal God to us through our reflection on His Question as we try as best we can to “understand” the Question Jesus is asking us and to give Him an honest question — for only in knowing the TRUTH OF GOD can we truly “understand [i.e. ‘see’] the Creator’s world in which we live”. God had planned long before the Creation “all these things” that would come about and Jesus is fulfilling that Divine Plan which includes letting God’s people know the Truth of God in order to make their decision about their own eternities! This characteristic of God of letting us “know” ahead of time the details of His Plan is part of The Plan in order that we will recognize the TRUTH OF GOD that He has a DIVINE PLAN in place for how else could Daniel write so clearly about the “abomination of desolation” or Jesus give details of the “Great Tribulation” that follows (Matthew 24:15-22) if it had not already been determined and laid out in detail by the Omnipotent, Omnipresent Creator God? For instance, Daniel first wrote of the Messiah and 600 years later Jesus fulfills the Messianic Prophecy of Daniel so completely that there can be no doubt that JESUS and ONLY JESUS IS the MESSIAH for He fulfilled exactly EVERY DETAIL of the Messianic Prophesy and now Jesus is in effect saying that because He so completely fulfills Daniel’s Prophecy that we must then look at the other prophecies and KNOW that they are from God and therefore they will come about! This can be drawn from what Jesus said as He was describing the “Great Tribulation” that was to follow the “Abomination of Desolation” Daniel described when Jesus said plainly to His disciples See, I have told your beforehand…” (Matthew 24:26) which clearly ties His original Question, “Do you not see all these things?” with the fact that Jesus and Daniel can only list “…all these things…” because they are part of God’s Plan that God Himself revealed to Daniel in a vision and had worked out the details of His Plan with Jesus Himself before the Creation was in place and now as “…all these things…” that were written and told to us “beforehand” happen right before our eyes that certainly we should be able to “SEE” what God reveals so plainly to us! Jesus then added “For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” (Matthew 24:27) So Jesus is telling us “beforehand” that we will be able to “see” God’s Plan unfold and we will KNOW that it was a PLAN told us and written down for us to in order that our FAITH WILL BE MADE SIGHT and we indeed will “see all these things” are from God!!! For only the ONE that KNOWS the PLAN can actually “see” the PLAN unfold in our daily lives and the only “Way” we can KNOW THE PLAN is to LISTEN to the ONE THAT MADE THE PLAN and has the SUPREME POWER TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!! ——— or will you remain in your darkness, blinded to the TRUTH and refuse with your hardened heart to “SEE ALL THESE THINGS”!?!?!?!?!

LIVING FOR JESUS - Daily Prayer

JESUS, thank You for answering our prayers and I thank the Holy Spirit for putting my concerns before God for I know that I had been going through a period in my prayer life that I was fully aware of the danger of praying for an answer that would reflect my selfish desires so I prayed that the Holy Spirit would pray the Father for me so that the answer would be in His Perfect Time and His Perfect Will for my life. I know that I am a sinner and as such my prayers are from a “worldly” perspective and I am impatient and want things “my way” and I want them “now” — but God wants only “good things” for me and His Ways are not what I could possibly imagine and truly His Ways are BEST! Hopefully, I am now understanding a little better about my prayer life as this time I turned my need over to the Holy Spirit and I had one desire — not my will but Thine be done — and then in His Perfect Timing He has answered my prayer in a Way that far exceeds any answer that I could have imagined!!! Thank You Jesus!!!   AMEN

THE JESUS QUESTIONS

Jesus gave His disciples a list of signs when they had asked Him “what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” (Matthew 24:3) and then Jesus introduced a term that the modern church debates, but both sides agree that the Tribulation will occur because Jesus Himself used the term when He told His disciples: “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.” (Matthew 24:9) Jesus completed His “List of Signs” and announced “…then the end will come.”  (Matthew 24:14) It was at this point that Jesus referred to the prophet Daniel and added a very specific detail to identifying the “Tribulation” when Jesus stated: “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place…” (Matthew 24 :15) Jesus was describing what the ‘abomination of desolation,’  looks like from Daniel’s question that Daniel had asked during his vision of the “little horn” that had overtaken the “Glorious Land” and his power had grown “up to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and some of the stars to the ground and trampled them. [The little horn] even exalted himself as high as the Prince of the host; and by him the daily sacrifices were taken away, and the place of His sanctuary was cast down {?the destruction of the Millennial Temple?}. Because of transgression, an army was given over to the horn to oppose the daily sacrifices; and he cast truth down to the ground… [And Daniel asked in his vision] ‘How long will the vision be, concerning the daily sacrifices and the transgression of desolation, the giving of both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled underfoot?” (Daniel 8:9-13)  Therefore Jesus is describing a future event of the “end time” when a non-believer will stand in the place of God and defile God’s Holy Sanctuary and the desolation of the Holy Place will be from “abominations”, hence the term “abomination of desolation” which will be recognized when the world sees someone claiming to be the “Prince of the host” and he will be standing in God’s Holy Place in the land of Judea offering “abominations” instead of “acceptable” daily sacrifices to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob! Jesus makes it clear that the “abomination of desolation” is not to be taken lightly  for after warning those that are in Judea to flee, Jesus then connects the “abomination of desolation” to the “Great Tribulation” as Jesus states: “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.” (Matthew 24:21) Jesus has been very clear and has given great detail on “all these things” that will happen leading up to and in the “end time” and so if we refuse to “see all these things” then it will not be God’s fault because He has given us every chance to remove the scales from our spiritual eyes in order that we can answer “Yes” when we finally hear with our hearts when Jesus asks each one, “Do you not see all these things which “the Son of God” has so plainly shown us in God’s Holy Scripture!!!???!!!

OCTOBER 12  THE JESUS QUESTIONS  JQ#30 “Do you not see all these things?”  (Matthew 24:02)

LIVING FOR JESUS -Daily Prayer

JESUS, You are my God, Lord, and Savior. Teach my soul to “be still and know that You ARE God”! Lord, I plead daily for Your Mercy for daily I fall short in my walk and in my service to You but continually I turn and I know You are the Great and Faithful I AM. Your Promises are true and Your Grace is everlasting. YOU ARE THE ONLY SHELTER for all the storms of life and only through belief and faith in Your Resurrection is there any Hope for mankind. I praise You and the Father and the Holy Spirit — Blessed Trinity!   AMEN

THE JESUS QUESTIONS

Jesus has asked another of His Masterful Questions that not only Teach God’s Truth for the “circumstance” to which it was originally spoken but His Questions are “universal” in their application — His Lessons are God’s Truth and as such are ONE and the same and both therefore ARE EVERLASTING! Jesus has been a Living Testimony to the Grace, Mercy, and Power of God and the Holy Trinity and now His disciples are about to see the culmination of the Prophecy concerning the Messiah. Soon Jesus will take His Place on the Cross at Calvary and complete God’s Plan of Salvation that was determined even before the dawn of Creation! God has spoken through His Prophets and has led His Chosen People to the Promised Land by other Prophets like Moses and Joshua and now Jesus is going to “Fulfill past Prophecy” and in this section introduced by this Divinely Inspired Question, “Do you not see all these things?” (Matthew 24:2) Jesus, as the Son of God is giving a Divine Prophecy of the Future of God’s Chosen People which after His Death, Burial, and Resurrection will be extended to “whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish but will have life everlasting” (John 3:16) Jesus has just given His disciples a list of signs that “are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:8) and with these “signs” Jesus has warned all “believers” that the greatest issue in the future will be to avoid being “deceived” — for many will come and deny that Jesus IS the Messiah and will put forth a “false gospel” which will lead men away from God and back to the “doctrines of men” which is the pathway to destruction of the body and the soul — souls that are “deceived” will deny Christ and reject God and be doomed to eternal torment in hell!!! The prophet Daniel in the 6th Century B.C. had prophesied the rise and fall of four great kingdoms of the earth from a dream that proved God is in control of the world and it is God that controls the rise and fall of nations and kingdoms. Scofield wrote of Daniel, “Daniel’s prophecy of the seventy “weeks” (‘sevens’) (vv. 24-27 [Daniel 9]) provides the chronological frame for Messianic prediction from Daniel to the establishment of the kingdom on earth and also a key to its interpretation…The entire prophecy is concerned primarily with Daniel’s “people” (Israel) and their “holy city” (Jerusalem) … Two princes are mentioned; the first is named the “Messiah the Prince” (Daniel 9:25); the second is described as “the prince who is to come” (Daniel 9:26), a reference to the little horn of ch. 7:8, whose “people” destroy the rebuilt Jerusalem after the cutting off of the Messianic Prince. (Daniel 9:26)” (Taken from the Centennial edition of the Scofield Study Bible, The Holy Bible, New King James Version Copyright* 1982 by Thomas Nelson, Inc. released by the Oxford University Press, New York, 2009) So Daniel had given the Messianic prophecy of the First and Second Coming of the Messiah and Jesus is now sitting in front of His disciples 600 years after Daniel wrote his prophecy and is both fulfilling the “First Coming of the Messiah” and is giving signs of His Second Coming. Jesus continues to describe how Daniels prophecy will play out as Jesus tells His disciples: “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing  in the holy place (whoever reads, let him understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” (Matthew 24:16-17) By Jesus quoting Daniel to His disciples He was making it clear that He was fulfilling the prophecy of the "First Coming” and now the disciples can more clearly understand or “see all these things” including the destruction of the great temple of Solomon and the end of the age. One cannot read Holy Scripture without “seeing all these things” that are first revealed to the most powerful but Godless man on the earth in Daniel’s time through a prophet of God and then read about the fulfillment of prophecy in God’s Perfect Timing as nations rise and fall on God’s Schedule! We live at one of those “special times” in history that our generation is witnessing the fulfillment of those prophecies, some of which were written over 3000 years ago and we should be able to appreciate that the Holy Scriptures document both the writing and the fulfilling of God's Plan as we watch ancient prophecies being fulfilled in our daily world headlines! Surely this JESUS Question is as appropriate today as it was when Jesus first spoke it, “Do you not see all these things?” (Matthew 24:2)

LIVING FOR JESUS - Daily Prayer

JESUS, King of kings, Lord of lords, Prince of Peace, You Alone are Worthy! I lift up my praises to Your Glory and Honor of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Lord, it is beyond our mortal understanding why the Divine Creator would create us in Your Image, endow us with Free Will knowing that we all would abuse our Right to Choose, but in spite of our disobedience that You would still provide for our Salvation that we might regain fellowship with You. Your Ways are indeed higher than our ways and Your Thoughts higher than our thoughts as the Heavens are infinitely higher than the earth! Lord, You have provided for all our needs, physical and spiritual and all our praise is due to You. My prayer is naught for me for I have been blessed beyond degree, but I pray only to be a blessing to those You place in my path. May I be a True Witness of Your Infinite Mercy and Grace!   AMEN

THE JESUS QUESTIONS

Jesus and the Holy Spirit proved by applying this Jesus Question JQ#30 to America’s historic 2016 national election that the Holy Bible IS God’s Holy Word “and that from childhood [we as a nation] have known the Holy Scriptures which are able to make [our nation] wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the [nation] may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:15-17  Surely if we as a nation want to make the world a better place we need to be “thoroughly equipped for every good work”!!! The Holy Scriptures also records God’s intent when He originally freed His chosen nation from their bondage and slavery and led them to the Promised Land as God Himself declared, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity…” (Jeremiah 29:11-14a)  These Scriptures speak to me and say that we as a nation have been enslaved to the “doctrines of power seekers” and  if we want “true freedom” and to make the world a better place with a hope and a future for everyone that we must continue to call upon the Lord! It is through God alone that we will achieve “world peace” and that “goodness” will prevail over “evil”!  Can you not see that the world is moving away from God and that the governments of the world are being gathered into a “One World Government” and this “Global [Godless] State” has as its foundation the “doctrines of men” who have distanced themselves from the commands of God via the new age with the doctrine of “separation of church and state” {{think about this: How can you have a New Age if there is not an “End Time” of the Old Age}}!?!?!?!? Why would we want to separate ourselves from our Creator and our Heavenly Father who has great plans and good thoughts for His Creation???  This point would be a good place to ask again, Do you not see all these things?” (Matthew 24:2) and to take special note that Jesus is warning us, “Take heed that no one deceives you.” (Matthew 24:4) This point in time, especially as we see the world showing so many signs of the “end times”, that we should revisit the Words of Jesus as He pronounced “signs”  of the “end of the age” for surely we see in today’s headlines that “…nations [are] against nations, and kingdom against kingdom. And there [are] famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places…” (Matthew 24:7) Surely we are witnessing a time in our world like never before where “lawlessness abounds” and “the love of many has grown cold” (Matthew 24:12) as we read about all the mass murders which have never happened before and also the cold-blooded killing of the police that have the motto “To Serve and Protect” us, the general public!?!?! The world news is a perfect argument that the Holy Scriptures are “Prophetic” for only the blind can not see the daily headlines as the fulfillment of “Prophecy” and that as a nation there is only one “SAFE PLACE” in the world and that is to turn to the ONE TRUE AND LIVING GOD WHO has “good thoughts toward us” and has the POWER to TRULY PROTECT AND PROVIDE and keep His Promise that “…he who endures to the end shall be saved…” !!! (Matthew 24:13) ——— again the Holy Spirit pleads for us as a nation to open our eyes and answer honestly, “Can you not see all these things?” (Matthew 24:2) !?!?!?!?!?
