JESUS, as each new day unfolds Lord we ask for Your Light to shine in our day-to-day world and we thank You that like the consistent sunrise that brings light to our physical world that Your Light will rise each day in our “Spiritual world” and bring with it the blessing of Your renewed Mercies and Grace in our “Spiritual” lives! 

Thank You Jesus for Your coming to the earth and for taking on flesh and being tempted in all ways such as we but yet You were without sin, and Your Victory over the world is the foundation of our Hope and the Great Expectation of our inheritance in Your kingdom, for surely this world is not our home, but our “dwelling” will be in the kingdom of God where You have prepared an eternal permanent place for those that would call upon Your Holy Name and Repent and turn from our worldly sins — Lord forgive me of all my worldly shortcomings and my daily iniquities and grant to me the self discipline to forgive others as freely as You forgive us!      AMEN

THE JESUS QUESTIONS

JESUS spoke His first words in Matthew’s Gospel and stated that the event unfolding between Him and John the Baptist, the forerunner of God’s Chosen One, the Messiah,  as “Fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness” (Matthew 3:15) which established Jesus as the “Chosen One” and that John was the “one crying in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight’” (Matthew 3:3) thereby Matthew documents that the “Coming One” had arrived! 

Only the Jewish community that had been reading the Talmud would understand the significance of Matthew being able to trace the genealogy of Jesus back to Abraham through King David; therefore, the Gospel of Jesus according to Matthew points to the fulfilling of God’s prophecies for the nation Israel and establishes through God’s Covenant Promises with Israel’s forefathers that Jesus was the rightful Heir to the throne of David. I believe that the nation was blinded to the Kingship of Jesus because of His Humble beginnings and the fact that Jesus was more like John the Baptist who possessed only the Spirit of God and had no earthly wealth or possessions. 

Sadly for many in God’s nation of His Chosen people, Jesus in His Humbleness, did not fit their vision of the “soon coming King” who they mistakenly believed was to be like Israel’s previous great king, King David, who had possessed the entire kingdom of Israel. King David had ruled with great warrior strength and had accumulated all the material possessions that King Solomon used to build the Great Temple in Jerusalem! The nation Israel and many people today simply cannot see how a cruel death on a Roman cross (at the hands of Israel’s religious rulers who declared that Jesus was a “criminal”) actually prove Jesus to be the Messiah? 

And how could a “prophet” that did not possess any earthly treasures, by His Birth, Death, Burial, and Resurrection “fulfill all righteousness”!?!?!? 

Matthew started his documentation of Jesus fulfilling the Holy Scriptures by establishing in Chapter 1 that Jesus was the “rightful heir” to the throne of David! Any one of the events that Matthew records in his 28 Chapters about the life of Jesus could be considered significant but by recording all the events into a single Gospel Matthew established a record of the fulfilling of prophecies by a single man [Jesus] that defies all logic and odds! For surely, if the odds of one man fulfilling all prophecies of the Messiah from the Jewish Holy Scriptures could actually be calculated then it would certainly fit into the category of “counting [all] the stars if [we were] able” (Genesis 15:5) or imagining the number of descendants that God had promised a childless 90 year old man and his 80 year old barren wife, 

“I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of  the sky and as the sand which is on the seashore” {{have you ever tried counting all the stars or grains of sand??}} (Genesis 22:17) 

and these great numbers that are far beyond our counting or imagining the total sum of them point to God the Father for King David wrote: 

“How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand!” (Psalm 139:18). 

Therefore by collecting all the events of Jesus that point to His being the “Son of God, God’s Anointed One, the Messiah” Matthew establishes beyond a shadow of a doubt that it would be IMPOSSIBLE for any one person to fulfill EVERY Prophecy that Jesus did!!! Matthew established in the first part of Chapter 1 that Jesus is the rightful heir by His Birthright and in the last part of Chapter 1 Matthew records the fulfilling of even more early prophecies of the Messiah as Matthew writes: 

“the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows…Mary was betrothed to Joseph [and] before they came together, she was found with the Child of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 1:18) Matthew explains: “So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet {{Isaiah 7:14}}, saying, ‘Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name ‘Immanuel’ which is translated, ‘God with us.’” (Matthew 1:22-23)

 Matthew started at “the beginning” which leaves no room in the entire history of the world for anyone other than Jesus to claim the title of “God’s Only Begotten Son”! The Apostle John (whom Jesus loved) wrote about Jesus: 

“The WORD became flesh and dwelt among us, 

and we beheld His glory, 

the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” 

(John 1:14) 

The Jewish community had been reading the prophecies of the Coming Messiah for centuries therefore they would be the first ones to recognize that Jesus was the earthly embodiment of “Immanuel” and truly God Himself had sent His Only Begotten Son to dwell among us and by observing the Life of Jesus, 

we observe GOD HIMSELF!!!  

And the really GOOD NEWS is that now that Jesus has come down from heaven to earth (the WORD came down from Heaven and  became flesh yet HE still dwells among us) that the Promise of God to Joshua 

becomes God’s Promise to us for God assures all believers —

 “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 

(Deuteronomy 31:6) and (Hebrews 13:5) 

I will be perfectly honest with you, when I started my “Journey to find TRUTH” I did not expect to find the Messiah; but now that God has revealed His Plans to Provide Salvation as a Gift, why should I turn a “blind eye” to such a “Divine TRUTH”!?!?!?

THE PATRIOT’S PULPIT

Comment: 1/20/24 Saturday 4:44A - The Patriot is like SKYNET in “The Terminator”, we have become “self-aware” — what I mean is that within our community of those that “will live free or die” we have learned that the main stream media companies that are owned by those that would make planet earth a plantation controlled by propaganda have for years told us the Big Lie and if one really wants to know what is really going on in the world, one must look for TRUTH among ourselves because there have been no WORD of TRUTH coming from the plantation owners in years! Slowly but surely we are learning the TRUTH no from what the “news” is reporting but we have a group of “TRUTH TELLERS” that has dared to expose the Big Lie and believe me, the more you listen to the “news” the more ridiculous it gets and the more obvious that they have nothing real to say on their own, they are paid to push the Big Lie and they are earning their “blood” money. Can anyone that can’t afford to buy  gas for their car or buy groceries for their table, buy the “crap” that the economy is doing well narrative being sold by the main stream media? No, regardless how many times the Lie is told, it is still a lie and by continuing to push the lie they are labeling themselves as “liars and the TRUTH ain’t in them!”  Yesterday I asked Patriots to take a look around and decide “who” they can trust to tell them the TRUTH and how I did that was to simply make a list of everyone that has lied and then made some lame excuse to explain why they lied! These people are stupid and a little common sense throws a lot of “light” into their tales of “darkness” that they are trying to make everyone believe is “normal” but I ain’t buying it! Don’t take my word for it but make your own list and it will not take long for you to have to start writing on the back of the page. The short list is the TRUTH TELLERS but it is good to make the list and on my list which I started in 2017 are several names that got marked out and moved to the “Liar List” but there are a few names that on the TRUTH TELLERS LIST that have been there from the beginning and at the head of my list is the Holy Spirit, that is why I spend so much time reading God’s WORD and learning GOD’S TRUTH, IT IS THE REAL DEAL — but the best thing for everyone is to make their own list. I have been thankful that I may not have a lot, but what I do have is ENOUGH and I’ve found that a little TRUTH goes a long way in exposing the 

Big Lie

And the sooner you know the difference the sooner your anxiety will turn to PEACE!

Remember John 1:14 “The WORD became flesh and dwelt among us…” and JESUS is the original TRUTH TELLER! 

Even GOD said, “This is My Son, Listen to Him!”

JESUS, as I continue on my Spiritual Journey to TRUTH down this path that is taking me “deeper still” into Your Holy Word, my prayer today is for the Holy Spirit to illuminate the path and to reveal that You are “Teaching these Lessons” and “Giving these Examples” of Your “Lifestyle” in order to reveal God the Father and His Ultimate TRUTH to us and to bring the “Light” of understanding through our study of these Holy Scriptures to the “Will of God” — I pray for the Holy Spirit to guide the Words written in this “Introduction” to “The JESUS Questions” that they will be a Glory and Honor to the Blessed Trinity and in the reading of the Word that Your TRUTH will Reveal the Father, Glorify the Son, and Honor the Holy Spirit in such a Way that our lives will be transformed and that we will— 

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness…” (Matthew 6:33) 

Lord Jesus, thank You for showing us to Trust God and His Mighty Provisions, which God Freely Bestows on us even though we are such undeserving sinners, and He does not give His Grace because of anything we have done, but simply because of God’s Holy Character and His Infinite Love for His Creation!      AMEN

THE JESUS QUESTIONS

Jesus started His earthly public Ministry Teaching the same TRUTH 

that Jesus Himself is Teaching today to lead us 

to a clear understanding of God the Father!  

Jesus with His Words, His Lifestyle, and Lessons is directing us towards a point that is a “crossroads” or “turning point” in each individual’s Spiritual Journey. Everyone will find themselves at this “Spiritual Crossroads” which is a “point” on our individual “Spiritual Journey” that is a critical time in our “Spiritual Life” — a time when when we see the “Spiritual need” in our search for “TRUTH” to enter into God’s Purpose and to yield control of our desires for the world and to embrace God’s Desire for our life — and at that “Point of TRUTH”, we can confidently follow the example of Jesus! 

Jesus begins directing us to that “Point of TRUTH” as Matthew records that Jesus started His public ministry by Living the Perfect Example of being obedient to God and following the Will of God in our daily lives. Matthew in Chapter 3 sets the scene for us: “In those days John the Baptist [the forerunner of the Messiah] came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.’” (Matthew 3:1) Matthew connected John the Baptist to prophecy and the Holy Scriptures through the prophet Isaiah as Matthew declares that John the Baptist was the fulfillment of the prophet Isaiah who had written 800 years earlier that the “forerunner” of the expected Messiah would be one that was “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; make His paths straight’” (Isaiah 40:3 as quoted in Matthew 3:3). 

When the people of Judea and the areas surrounding Jerusalem heard there was “[a voice] crying in the wilderness” preaching “[Repent] for the kingdom of heaven was at hand” and declaring that they should be “baptized”, it was at that “Point of TRUTH” in their spiritual lives that the Holy Scriptures came alive for them and they could see the prophecies of old being fulfilled!

  “Then in Jerusalem, all Judea, and all the region around the Jordan went out to [John the Baptist] and were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.” (Matthew 3:5-6) 

Therefore all Israel was now thinking in terms of fulfillment of prophecy and if John the Baptist was the foretold “forerunner” of the Messiah then surely the Messiah would be coming on the scene very soon! This line of thinking was also confirmed by John’s words “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” (Matthew 3:2) 

Matthew also introduces the upcoming conflict Jesus would address regarding the religious rulers in Jerusalem, the Pharisees and Sadducees, as Matthew records that the Pharisees and Sadducees came out to John the Baptist at the Jordan where John was baptizing and John declared this group of power mongers to be a “Brood of vipers!” and warned them to change their ways and “flee from the wrath to come” and told them plainly “Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance” (Matthew 3:7-8) 

When John had Israel’s attention, John further set the scene for Jesus to appear 

as John declared:

 “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” (Matthew 3:11) 

Therefore when 

“Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized” (Matthew 3:13) 

it was to fulfill the prophecies of Isaiah 

regarding the forerunner of the Messiah (Isaiah 40:3) 

and of the restoration of the Davidic kingdom by Christ (See Isaiah 11:1-10). 

Jesus “allowed” Himself to be baptized by John as Matthew records “why” Jesus “allowed” Himself to be “Baptized” by John in the Jordan River as Matthew quotes Jesus saying to John: 

“Permit [My Baptism] to be so now, for thus it is fitting for [the forerunner and the Christ] to fulfill all righteousness” (Matthew 3:15) 

This first statement of Jesus as recorded by Matthew was the perfect “Example” by Jesus and “pointed” us to His Purpose.  Jesus started His earthly ministry by associating Himself with and by teaching “repentance, confession of sin, and baptism” and directed us clearly at this “Spiritual Crossroads Point of TRUTH” down the “path of the LORD” — 

Jesus clearly stated later that on our “Spiritual Journey” that we 

are to “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness” (Matthew 6:33) so it is fitting that Jesus is encouraging us to

 “to fulfill all righteousness”. 

Matthew also in this passage establishes another part of the mission of Christ — the Messiah will address the problem of the religious rulers who have defiled the temple of God and have led the nation Israel away from following God and His Commandments — John not only called them a “Brood of vipers!” but he warned them that Christ would “baptize [them] with the Holy Spirit and fire” and that Christ had

 “His winnowing fan in His hand, 

and He will throughly clean out His threshing floor, 

and gather His wheat into the barn; 

but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” 

(Matthew 3:7-12) 

Thereby Matthew uses John the Baptist and the prophet Isaiah to introduce the Work of the Messiah — then Jesus steps on the scene and fulfills prophecy to begin His earthy ministry and sets the “Perfect Example” for all that would 

follow Jesus Christ by walking down the “Holy Path” that is so clearly

 “illuminated” by the Holy Scriptures — repent, and seek God and His Righteousness. 

It is reassuring to know that there is a “Light” in the midst of the darkness, especially when we come to that “Spiritual Crossroads” on our journey and we find ourselves trying to decide which “path” to take? 

The “TRUTH” is that there is a “wrong” path leading to “death” and destruction but there IS a “right” path leading to “Eternal Life” — 

still, it’s your journey and you have to make your choice —

 just remember “JESUS IS THE LIGHT, THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE”!!! 

Truly this is “GOOD NEWS” when you find yourself at your

“Point of TRUTH at your Spiritual Crossroads” 

in life 

and you find “CHRIST HIMSELF” has marked the path 

and left the “LIGHT” on for you!

Comment: 1/19/24 Friday 5:11A - When we seek to find TRUTH we find that the path is not always well marked and sometimes the road is full of potholes which when you see all these “detour” and “danger” signs you might start to question who you have been taking your directions from? A quick reading of God’s Word will give you some clues which path with Words from Jesus saying that His Way is “narrow” but promises that the path will be well lit and the destination is always the TRUTH with no detours. The Path to TRUTH never leads you into “darkness” …NEVER! 

We in AMERICA have been told that there are many paths and we are “free to choose” as long as we “follow their rules” and don’t dare question the fact the final destinations of the “diversified” paths presented to the common folk don’t lead to the same place as the paths set out for the “privileged” in our “diverse” society. In other words, those in charge get the paved roads and the 5 star hotels while the common folk must take the muddy trails and back alleys and end up in tents and shanties! Maybe there is no “free choice” if the only options is to believe  the “Big Lie”  that the Good Things in Life are only meant for a “select few” and we the sheeple have let the “select few” set the rules and give us directions. 

Patriots are TRUTH SEEKERS and it doesn’t take a TRUE PATRIOT long to know that if all paths lead to the “swamp” that you are going to get mud between your toes. In my Journey to TRUTH it has been my experience that the paths that lead through darkness present more opportunities to stumble and that if I will just learn to read a good map that I will have improved my odds to arrive safely because using a good map from a “trusted map maker” has a couple of advantages, first is the simple fact that if you use a map that you get to choose your “destination” and secondly the map maker is providing routes that are marked and it is up to the traveler to decide which destination is desired!

 Today the problem is that we cannot trust the maps because the map makers have no idea where they are going and it is becoming obvious that they don’t care where AMERICA ends up! We are at a “crossroads” in our world today and I know that if you don’t use a TRUSTED GUIDE that has been there before and knows where the path leads that you will end up LOST. In today’s world of “If it feels good do it” map makers you will most likely end up in trouble and it probably won’t feel good so it comes down to each individual learning who we should get directions from, after all, if you don’t know where you want to go, I certainly would let some privileged politician decide my future destinations — I am in agreement with Ronald Regan’s quote that the scariest words that you will ever hear is

 “We are from the government and we are here to help.” 

Patriots are the ones that dare to question the direction our leaders are headed, I personally want to check how thick the ice is before I try to skate on it. I also don’t trust someone that tells me one thing and does another and when the government raises my taxes and gives themselves a raise, well I know a skunk when I smell it!  My question to you is do you believe what you are smelling or do you believe that lipstick on a pig makes it ok to identify as a duck!?! Really folks, let’s try to use some common sense here and wake up and smell the crap the government insists is roses!
