“Keep On Keeping On”
“Keep On Keeping On”
Dedication to Phil Hall
Well I packed my bags, and a couple ol’ rags
And I thought I’d hit the road.
No, I didn’t know where, but I didn’t really care
Where I was gonna go.
Should I trust my luck to this rusty ol’ truck
to keep me from going insane?
Well the snow kept falling and the wind kept calling
Silence whispered my name.
Oh the night wind’s cold, it’ll cut your soul
It’ll freeze you to the bone!
All the lessons you learned and the love you spurned
Laughter’s come and gone!
And all the tears you’ve cried hurt you deep inside
Still you’re looking for the dawn
Cause you know the Light will make everything right
Just KEEP ON ------------ KEEPIN’ ON!
Grandpa said “Hold up your head,
don’t you EVER give in!
When things get rough, you just COWBOY UP
And take it on the chin!
Don’t wear a frown when the world gets you down
Put a smile in its place.
Just TRUST the LIGHT to take you through the night
And GET BACK IN THE RACE!”
Oh the night wind’s cold, it’ll cut your soul
It’ll freeze you to the bone!
All the lessons you learned and the love you spurned
Laughter’s come and gone!
And all the tears you’ve cried hurt you deep inside
Still you’re looking for the dawn
Cause you know the Light will make everything right
Just KEEP ON ----------- KEEPIN’ ON!
Just KEEP ON ----------- KEEPIN’ ON!
Held By the King
Held By the King
Verse 1
For God so loved the world that He Gave us His Son
To Bleed on a Cross for the sins that we’ve done
JESUS Suffered and Died, He was put in a Grave
But the Grave could not hold Him for He Rose the 3rd Day!
Chorus
O death where’s your victory?
O sin where’s your sting?
For death cannot hold us
‘Cause we’re Held by the KING!
He’s built us a Mansion
On Heaven’s Bright Shore
He’s coming to Take us with Him
Where we’ll Live Evermore!
Verse 2
He knew In The Beginning
That we’d stumble and fall
But HIS LOVE knows no boundaries
HIS LOVE Paid it ALL
GOD”S LOVE Never fails us
It is Patient and True
GOD’S LOVE is Forever
He Freely Gives it to you!
Chorus
O death where’s your victory?
O sin where’s your sting?
For death cannot hold us
‘Cause we’re Held by the KING!
He’s built us a Mansion
On Heaven’s Bright Shore
He’s coming to Take us with Him
Where we’ll Live Evermore!
Verse 3
Our sins He’ll Forgive us
With His Blood we’re Set Free
There’s only One Pathway
JESUS said it’s through Me!
When we know that we Need Him
His Grace and Mercy abound
For only Through JESUS
Can True Freedom be found!
Chorus
O death where’s your victory?
O sin where’s your sting?
For death cannot hold us
‘Cause we’re Held by the KING!
He’s built us a Mansion
On Heaven’s Bright Shore
He’s coming to Take us with Him
Where we’ll Live Evermore!
End Bridge
O death where’s your victory?
O sin where’s your sting?
For death cannot touch us
We’ve been Touched by the KING!
JESUS The KING of All Kings!!

O what a foretaste of Glory Divine!
Heir of Salvation, Purchased of God!
Born of His Spirit, Washed in His Blood!

Did you ever stop to think
Why would a God
Care about a sinner like me?
Why would He send
His Son to a cross
To pay for my penalty?
Chorus 2
I sing----
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
O what a foretaste of Glory Divine!
Heir of Salvation, Purchased of God!
Born of His Spirit, Washed in His Blood!
Bridge
I’m washed in the Blood of the Holy Lamb
And I’m standing in the Presence of the Great I Am!!
I was a lost sinner but don’t you know ---- [that]
Jesus came and found me and washed me Whiter than Snow!!

All I can tell you is
I KNOW that He did
I KNOW I’m Forgiven and Free
‘Cause when Jesus
Died on that cross

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
O what a foretaste of Glory Divine!
Heir of Salvation, Purchased of God!
Born of His Spirit, Washed in His Blood!

Grain of Wheat (Worst Weekend Ever!)
Grain of Wheat (Worst Weekend Ever!)
Verse 1
I remember the soldier saying, Judas is that the One,
That walked on water, made a blind man see, and claims to be God’s Son?
These other men that are praying with Him, do we arrest them too?
So I pulled my sword to protect my Lord,
But He said, “I’m doing this for you.”
Chorus 1
“If you live by the sword you will die by the sword,”
And He turned to comfort me.
“What did I say about the break of this day,
And remember that grain of wheat.
God has a plan for salvation of man
For all eternity.
I must drink this Cup that my Father fills up,
And Die on Calvary’s Tree!”
Verse 2A
The soldiers tied and bound Him, and they slapped Him in the face,
They drug Him to a garden where I watched in sad disgrace.
They took Him to a courtyard, it was a dark and evil place,
And to my great shame I denied His name,
My fears I did embrace!
Verse 2B
The next day they beat and scourged Him, His body was bleeding and torn,
Then they wrapped a robe around Him, and they gave Him a crown of thorns.
They took Him to Golgotha where they gambled for the clothes He’d worn
He was crucified but before He died, He said
“For this Death I was Born!”
Chorus 2
“If you live by the sword you will die by the sword,”
And He turned to comfort me.
“What did I say about the break of this day,
And remember that grain of wheat.
God has a plan for salvation of man
For all eternity.
I must drink this Cup that my Father fills up,
And Die on Calvary’s Tree!”
Verse 3
We watched Him hang in terrible pain, and on that cross He bled
We all cried when they pierced His side, just to make sure He was dead!
Light then turned to darkness so to our fears we fled
In a tomb He was laid, and we were all afraid,
We knew Holy Blood had been Shed!
Chorus 3
Then came that knocking at the door, and Mary was standing there.
They’ve come and taken away my Lord, and I really don’t know where?!
His body is not in the tomb! The grave is empty and bare!
The stone’s rolled away and on this Third Day,
There’s a Mystery in the air?!
Verse 4A
Well we froze in grief and total misbelief, John was the first to go!
To the tomb we flew not knowing what to do, what would the sunrise show?
The body was gone so we ran back home then we started to know
That the power to save and defeat the grave was what He came to show!
Verse 4B
But we locked the doors and were hiding, would the soldiers be coming soon?
We wondered as we sat there trembling, drowning in our darkest gloom.
Where had He gone, we felt so all alone when a great Light filled the room
And we were all aware with Jesus standing there, God had raised Him from the tomb!!
Chorus 4A
He said, “Remember My Word and all that you’ve heard,
Believe that the Father sent Me!
That I came to Save, put Death in the Grave,
My Blood won the Victory!
Because I’m Risen your sins are Forgiven
For all Eternity!
Yes I drank the Cup that My Father filled up
And I Died to set you Free!”
Jesus said in John 5:24 “Verily, Verily I say unto you, he who hears My words and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment but will pass from death into life.”
Chorus 4B
“So, remember My Word and all that you’ve heard,
Believe that the Father sent Me!
That I came to Save, put Death in the Grave
My Blood won the Victory!
Because I’m Risen your sins are Forgiven
For all Eternity!
Yes I drank the Cup that My Father filled up
And My Blood will wash you Clean!”
For without the Shedding of Blood there is no Remission of sin. As Jesus Christ said as He hung on the Cross “It is finished!”. Yes, your salvation and my salvation is secure through the Shed Blood of Jesus at Calvary!!
Ending Chorus 4C
(Listen to Him when He says---)
“Remember My Word and all that you’ve heard,
Believe that the Father sent Me!
That I came to Save, put Death in the Grave
My Blood won the Victory!
Because I’m Risen your sins are Forgiven
For all Eternity!
Yes I drank the Cup that My Father filled up
And I Died to set you Free!
Yes I drank the Cup that My Father filled up
And My Blood ----------------- will wash you Clean!”

A Simple Little Song
A Simple Little Song
Written 5/8/16 for the Briceville Ladies
This is my story, and it won’t take long,
Just listen to the words, of my simple little song,
There’s not a lot of music, and the words don’t rhyme,
But listen to the message, cause it’s right on time!!
Jesus came and found me, He forgave my sin,
He said I’ll be your Savior, So I let Him in!
He said I’ll never leave you, and Bless my soul,
He changed my life ——— He made me whole!!
He did it for me, He’ll do it for you,
He came to save sinners, and I know that it’s true,
He died on a cross, and was buried in a grave,
But death could not hold Him,
‘Cause He rose the 3rd Day!!
Jesus came and found me, He forgave my sin,
He said I’ll be your Savior, So I let Him in!
He said I’ll never leave you, and Bless my soul,
He changed my life ——— He made me whole!!
Life can be hard, it’ll take you down,
It will make you cry, and wear a frown,
But Jesus is the Answer, I tell you friend,
His LOVE will never fail you, and will Never End!!
Jesus will find you, He’ll forgive your sin,
He wants to be your Savior, so let Him in,
He will never leave you, He will Bless your soul,
He’ll change your life ——— He will make you whole!!

I'm Finally Home / A Poem
I’m Finally Home
When I’m dead
And when I’m GONE
Laugh and sing —
Cause I’m not HERE
I’m Finally Home
This earthen vessel broken
And cold as a STONE
Is not who I am —
Be of good CHEER
I’m Finally Home
My Faith and my Spirit
Are healthy and STRONG
Celebrate in my victory
Shed not a TEAR
I’m Finally Home
I’m finally resting
I’m singing His SONG
In His Peace rejoicing
No worries nor FEAR
I’m Finally Home
Weep not nor tremble
For the Greatest Love KNOWN
Just put His arms ‘round me
Said soft, sweet, and CLEAR
“You’re Finally Home”!!
